How does quota management work?

With the quota management function, you have full control over the use of your OpenStack Cloud resources. The principle is simple! With your client account, you receive a defined maximum number of OpenStack resources (e.g. number of projects, vCPU, RAM, number of VMs, number and size of storage volumes, etc.) depending on your order and contract. You can now distribute these resources to your OpenStack projects and thus have full control over which of your projects uses how many resources. If you need a higher limit for certain resource types, e.g. vCPU, you can request this directly in the Cloud Services Portal©. Further information can be found in the Cloud Services Portal - Client Management Manual.

Are VMs operated in isolated network zones?

Each cloud customer environment is operated securely in its own separate, isolated network zones (VLANs). Several independent networks/subnets (Isolated Network / VLAN) can be created independently.

These flavors combine firmly defined sizes and limits with regard to network bandwidth, storage throughput or IOPS number and type of vCPUs, size of the main memory and the instance block storage. 1 TB of outbound data transfer is included per account project. The inbound data transfer is included. Additional outbound data transfer is charged per GB and month in accordance with the current price list.

    How do volume snapshots work?

You can trigger volume snapshots manually directly in the Cloud Management Console. You can create a new VM from a snapshot.

    Is the cloud platform redundant?

All components such as the internet connection, data center, switching, internal networks, hosts and storage are designed to be redundant.

    Does EveryWare offer georedundant solutions?

For even higher security requirements, VMs can also be geo-redundantly connected to different availability zones (two data center locations) in order to implement a high-availability solution across different data center locations.

Can the cloud solution be operated on dedicated hardware?
